Byeokjomok is wood from lightning-struck jujube (korean date) trees. Byeokjomok is believed to bring luck and protection to the wearer. While lightning struck jujube wood is rare in nature, an electric current can be used to create the characteristic deep colour and strength of byeokjomok.
